I know that I wrote a post not too long ago about setting goals.  That is not what this is.  You should still set your goals, in fact it is vitale to the advice in this post.  Put your goals somewhere that you will see them often. 

Freelance Writing Tip: Make your goals visible.  My computer is at a table close to the wall in the living room.  I have a to do list, a list of articles I am working on, and a guide I use to promote my writing taped up on the wall next to me when I sit down to write.  I also have a picture of the camera I am working towards buying taped up on the wall as well. 

Exploring the options you have available to you is good advice no matter what you are trying to do, and soap making is no different.  Experimenting is also a great way to learn, the best way in my book.   Thier are many great options available to the beginning soaper for experimentation. 

Purchase a variety pack of soap bases, a few molds, some essetial oils, and a couple of colorants.  Many companies offer these things in soap making kits that are all put together in an easy to use manner.  Once you have your ingreidents, go nuts.  See what you like to work with and what you can do with your talents.  The sky is the limit. 

Knowing what topics are going to be getting a lot of views in the near future can help all of us article writers.  Writing on popular topics is almost always a goal for any article writer and google trends can help you.  A list of these up and coming popular topics would be just great, wouldn’t it?

Freelance Writing Tip: Use Google Trends and Google Hot Trends.  This is a gold mine so to speak.  This is just the list we all need to help our article writing success along it’s merry little way.  I would advise that you take a look at this everytime you sit down to write something new, or at least when you need ideas for articles.  Happy Writing. 

It is so nice when you sit down and have a direction and you know right where you are headed with your writing.  It seems like,  at least for me, like the day just breezes by when I already have a game plan mapped out and ready to follow. 

Freelance Writing Tip: Set and Follow Goals.  Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals for your writing.  Remember to make these goals realistic and reachable, while making them a bit of a challenge as well.  This will keep you on your toes and your writing career will advance nicely as well.  Happy Writing!

We all have those days when we sit down to our computer and kind of stare at it thinking about the fact that we really don’t want to do anything, or have the feeling of not being able to write anything good at that moment.  Everyone gets tired of monotony at some time or another.

Freelance Writing Tip: Take A Day Off.  When you get to feeling like you just don’t want to write, or you don’t have anything to write, then don’t.  I am not suggesting that you do this often, your career wouldn’t hold too long if you did.  But on the days that this poses a particular problem, it is time to take a break.

Hello to all the soapers out there and also to anybody interested in making thier own bath products.  Making your own bath products at home is a great way to practice a healthier lifestyle.  You can purchase all nautral ingriedents and you will know what is and isn’t in them.  Best of all you can make as little or as much as you need at one time.

Here I am going to share a basic recipe for making bath salt.  This recipe is a guideline, you will need to pick oils, colors, and amounts. 

One part sea salt, two parts mineral or Epsom salt, essential oils and liquid coloring to fit the amount of salt you have chosen.  First you will need to put the sea salt in a sealable container.  Next you add the oils and colors.  Mix this up really well and then add the mineral salt.  Store in a cool dry place and shake everyday for a week before packaging or using.  

Well Duh, right?  I am not just talking about using creative styles of writing or even colorful language.  This is great and should always be done when you are writing for an audience.  I am talking about how you present your work and what you choose to do with it. 

Freelance Writng Tip: Be Creative.  For us article writer, we understand the terms scrap and republish.  Scrapping or recycling your work is great and we know we need to put it out there as much as you can but….. Copying the same article to five different places (especially when you are bookmarking them all in the same place) is dull and boring.  It may also turn your readers off.  Choose what goes where and tweak those articles.  Be Creative.  Happy Writing.

I know a good deal of people believe that a writer sits down and pumps out a great made up story out of thin air, but in reality that does not happen at all.  It takes many hours of consideration in most cases to write a good piece of work. 

Freelance writing tip: Have a life.  In order to be a good writer, one needs good topics to write about.  Although checking google trends and doing research can be helpful, it isn’t always good enough.  Most writers get ideas for there pieces out of their daiily lives.  If you are a boring person your writing will reflect that.  Go out have a good time, make some laughs or even a little bit of trouble.  Get inspired by life and then sit down to write.  Happy writing!

I am the kind of person that tends to live for the moment and do things spontaniously.   I have found that writing this way, no matter how little or how much, does not work well nor does it lead to much success.  Believe it or not having a system makes online article writing much easier.

Freelace Writing Tip: Have a good system.  Figure out the best times of the day and week to write and when and where to submit your writing.  Organize your bookmarking and pinging sites as well as when and how to use them.  Stick to your system and things will go smoothly for you.  Getting behind on your writing is like getting behind on your bills and for some the first can lead to the second.
